Genetec has announced its plans for ASIS Europe 2025, taking place in Dublin, Ireland from 4-6 March. Its focus will be on the future of physical security, the role of security software in supporting wider business objectives, and the importance of addressing both physical and cyber security as part of a unified plan.
Genetec can be found on stand E14 where it will be showcasing Security Center SaaS, its powerful physical security platform that can be deployed in the cloud or as a hybrid solution. It unifies access control, video management, forensic search intrusion monitoring, automation, and many other advanced security capabilities.
Genetec thought leaders will also actively participate in the speaker programme, delivering sessions on navigating the industry’s seismic shift to the cloud and on balancing opportunity and risk when leveraging AI security solutions:
- Wednesday 5 March; 15.50-16.35 – Dr Florian Matusek – Balancing operational improvements & risks when employing solutions leveraging AI
- Thursday 6 March; 11.55-12.15 – Andy Mackay – AFTERSHOCK – Navigating the lasting impact of security’s seismic shift
“Not a week goes by when we don’t hear about the latest achievements in AI, yet it’s getting harder and harder for users and buyers of security systems to distinguish AI hype from reality. So, I’ll be concentrating on where it can be used as a tool to achieve meaningful Intelligent Automation outcomes, and where more caution is warranted,” said Florian Matusek, Director, AI Strategy, Genetec Inc.
“As the main Genetec liaison for ASIS, I’m looking forward to some energizing conversations with security consultants from across Europe. Together, we can chart the best pathways to simultaneously manage risk and take advantage of the opportunities presented by new technologies,” said Dan Meyrick, Senior Manager Consultants A&E Program, Europe, Genetec Inc.
