ievo gear up for Intersec

Staff at ievo Ltd, the Newcastle-based manufacturer of fingerprint biometric solutions, are gearing up to show their innovative technology at Intersec 2018, the world’s largest security exhibition.

Held in Dubai from January 21st to 23rd, the exhibition, which this year celebrates its 20th anniversary, will see some 1,300 exhibitors from 58 countries welcome over 32,000 security professionals over the three days. As the largest and most diverse security exhibition, the show’s influence has spread not only across the Middle East, Africa and the Indian subcontinent but has also gone well beyond, offering thousands of influential trade buyers the latest security & safety solutions and exciting new opportunities from the world’s best brands.

For ievo Ltd, the exhibition is the next step in a long term strategy to increase market share in export territory markets having already established a strong presence in the domestic UK and European markets. The company will be exhibiting alongside their META (Middle East, Turkey and Africa) distribution partner, NIT, an Ingram Micro company, who has partnering arrangements with reseller companies across 56 countries in the Middle East and West and Central Africa.

Stephen Thompson, Export Sales Manager for ievo Ltd commented, “It’s a very exciting time for us at ievo as we expand into another new territory. We have already been seeing a substantial growth in the Middle Eastern markets with regards to security products and specifically biometric solutions and we are pleased to have the support, reach and expertise of the market from our partners at NIT.”

“Our fingerprint biometric products have been designed specifically for the environment and climate of the Middle East and Africa. They are already IP65 certified with integral thermal management systems which enables functionality at up to 70°C and fully compatible with existing Paxton and other global integration software packages.”

Utilising advanced multispectral imaging (MSI) sensor technology to scan and capture data, ievo’s biometric readers, designed and manufactured in NE England,  have a far lower life-time cost than traditional numeric key pads or swipe cards. Additionally, and probably more important to end customers, biometric recognition systems provide an infallible access control system that can be integrated with a number of hardware and software systems reducing the need for multiple systems and installations, which can prove costly to both time and resources.

Stephen Thompson added, “Intersec 2018 offers us a fantastic opportunity to engage with both current clients and new customers and we’re all looking forward to the show. We have already made several incredibly valuable appointments with potential customers and this is a chance to really showcase our products and the advantages they provide.”
