Integration interest sees successful Intersec for Synectics

Integration and region-relevant surveillance solutions were two of the top user requirements observed by Synectics at this year’s Intersec.

The global surveillance business, which offers end-to-end solutions for critical infrastructure, transportation, oil and gas, urban environments and marine applications, spoke with end-users regarding key challenges and requirements for Middle East security professionals.

In addition to integrations which are always of interest to customers – for example enabling surveillance, access control and emergency systems (fire/gas detections etc.) to be monitored, managed and controlled collaboratively in a single environment – some specific requirements emerged including heightened interest in Geographic Information System (GIS) and analytics software integrations.

Interest in these areas resulted in strong attendance of Synectics’ live Synergy 3 demonstrations, which showcased features including GIS mapping, dynamic Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) workflow functionality and sophisticated analytics integration in conjunction with Ipsotek, the leader in Scenario-based Video Analytics.

Amedeo Simonetto, Business Development Director, said:

“The need to unify disparate third party systems has been a growing trend in the Middle East and judging from Intersec 2016 this shows no signs of slowing. Open protocol solutions have become an absolute must.

“In addition to integration capabilities we also witnessed a great deal of interest in ‘regionally relevant’ technology. For us this meant solutions such as our high temperature HD IP and thermal COEX camera stations were in the spotlight due to their ability to operate at temperatures up to +70°C.”

David Petrook, Commercial Director, continues:

“Intersec is always a hugely important show for us. It’s an ideal opportunity for us to demonstrate our capabilities and share useful resources, but also for us to hear first-hand feedback from customers and potential customers – which helps us shape ongoing product development. The show was certainly a success for Synectics.”

As well as demonstrating its latest solutions for the Middle East market, Synectics also offered visitors a number of resources including a selection of industry white papers.
