Intersec 2025 Review – A global hub for innovation

International Security Buyer is proud to reflect on the success of Intersec 2025, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre 14-16 January 2025. As the official International Media Partner, our International Security Buyer and International Fire Buyer teams not only exhibited at the show but also played a pivotal role in powering the Messe Frankfurt Show Dailies.

This year’s Intersec marked its 26th edition with record-breaking international participation, attracting 1,200 exhibitors from over 60 countries and 35,000 square metres of exhibition space.  The event showcased innovations across security, fire protection, and health and safety sectors, solidifying the Middle East as a hub for cutting-edge solutions and global collaboration in these industries.

The Inaugural Policing Conference

One of the standout additions was the inaugural Intersec Policing Conference, which set a new benchmark for modern law enforcement collaboration. With over 50 international experts, including representatives from INTERPOL, the Singapore Police Force, and Abu Dhabi Police, the conference explored topics such as predictive policing, AI-driven investigations, and tackling emerging threats like quantum-led crimes and deepfakes. This groundbreaking initiative underscored Dubai’s role as a leader in fostering international cooperation and innovation.

Innovations and Challenges

The event’s comprehensive conference program spanned several specialised sectors. Highlights included the Fire & Rescue Conference, which focused on advanced technologies like AI-driven fire prediction and video-based detection systems, alongside critical discussions on adapting to climate change’s impact on fire behavior. The Security Leaders’ Summit, in{:cyber} and the CISO Briefing tackled pressing geopolitical challenges, cybersecurity innovations, and the importance of diversity and inclusion in resilient security teams.

Key exhibitors such as Motorola Solutions, FLIR Systems, Zenitel, Sensitron, NAFFCO, Esteri Group, Perimeter Solutions and others captivated attendees with state-of-the-art solutions that are shaping the future of their industries.

Intersec Awards

Intersec 2025 welcomed visitors from 128 countries, reflecting its global reach. The Intersec Awards celebrated excellence across 15 categories, recognising individuals and organisations pushing boundaries in safety, security, and fire prevention. The event buzzed with energy, networking opportunities, and a palpable excitement for what lies ahead. This year’s awards attracted a record-breaking 1,421 entries from more than 30 countries, reflecting the dynamic growth of the global safety and security sector. The UAE’s performance included standout wins from organisations including Dubai Civil Defense, Dubai Municipality, Ministry of Interior, Emirates Safety Laboratory LLC, NAFFCO, Luxury Owners Association Management Company LLC (LOAMS), Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), and Drydocks World, affirming the nation’s drive to foster homegrown talent and innovation in collaboration with international expertise.

Hand Media International had the privilege of hosting exclusive interviews with industry leaders, key manufacturers, and association heads during the show, so keep your eyes peeled on our upcoming issues across Fire & Security Buyer.
