iStorage to introduce latest ultra-secure USB at DSEI

iStorage to introduce latest ultra-secure USB at DSEI: 3.0 flash drive for corporate and government organisations

The datAshur Pro is a tamper-proof, tamper-evident, super speed USB 3.0 flash drive and a secure solution for organisations that transport sensitive data and want protection against data loss/theft.

iStorage, a leading British developer and manufacturer of secure portable data storage and encryption products, is set to launch its newest USB 3.0 ultra-secure flash drive at the Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEI) congress in London.

Aimed at business and government organisations, the datAshur Pro is pending a range of high-level security accreditations including FIPS 140-2 Level 3, CESG CPA Foundation Grade and NLNCSA Level 2, providing peace-of-mind to organisations that regularly carry and share sensitive data.

The new datAshur Pro incorporates all the features of its predecessor (the datAshur) including an on-board keypad for authentication, which gives the drive ultimate protection against software and hardware based key-loggers, military grade XTS-AES 256-bit hardware encryption and now packs a host of new features such as a super-speed USB 3.0 interface, higher capacities of up to 64GB, read-only (write protect) mode, a user configurable timeout lock and brute force hack detection and protection. In addition, the datAshur Pro incorporates a boot delay feature which means you can boot any Operating System directly from the drive. All of this means the datAshur Pro secures your data from unauthorised access even when lost or stolen.

John Michael, CEO of iStorage states:

“DSEI, an event which brings together the entire defence and security industry, is the ideal platform to introduce the datAshur Pro. We understand that there are certain levels of encryption and safety that the defence and government sectors must comply with where data security is concerned. iStorage designs products with that in mind, and the datAshur Pro is pending a range of high-level accreditations to reflect this and to ensure the mutual goal of providing the highest levels of data protection is always met.”

The pending CESG CPA Foundation Grade accreditation entails a rigorous evaluation period where products are tested against published security and development standards. The certification means that the government, wider public sector and industry can use products while being safe in the knowledge that their data will be guarded against theft should the device be lost or stolen.

DSEI, the world-leading defence and security event, will take place 15-18 September at ExCel in London. iStorage will be exhibiting in the Cyber Zone on stand N7-199, this zone showcases innovative and ground breaking companies in an increasingly important industry. iStorage will be exhibiting its full range of PIN-encrypted storage solutions, where the team will be on hand to answer questions around the best methods of data security.

Visiting ships and waterborne demos announced for DSEI 2021

DSEI 2021 will host five Royal Navy and international visiting ships when it takes place 14-17 September at London ExCeL.
As new strategic assets HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales continue their introduction to the naval fleet, DSEI 2021 will provide an opportunity for industry to engage with the Royal Navy as it moves beyond joint operations with its land, sea and cyber counterparts to an integrated force capable of achieving true multi-domain effects. With the backing of the Royal Navy, the DSEI Naval Zone will provide a critical opportunity for organisations of all sizes to meet with the customer and partners to collaborate on the next-generation capabilities required to deliver these effects at every level. From stealth and electronic warfare technologies to information and networking systems and unmanned capabilities, industry will have the chance to showcase innovation and solutions that will better enable the Royal Navy to defend the nation at home and abroad, across all domains from the seabed to space. Admiral Tony Radakin, First Sea Lord and Chief of Naval Staff commented: “The Royal Navy continuously seeks to remain at the forefront of maritime defence technology, and events such as DSEI help to keep us there. I am delighted that the Royal Navy is once again playing a leading role in DSEI in 2021,” “Our ongoing success on operations around the world is a direct result of the strength and skill of the UK defence industry, as well as our international partners. DSEI gives us the ideal opportunity to bring all the key players together to discuss the latest innovations, developments and technological achievements. “In a world of constant competition, the conversations that we are able to have at DSEI are more important than ever. The Royal Navy remains committed to being at the forefront of technological development, maintaining our battle-winning edge through innovation. DSEI allows us to showcase the best of this technology in some of the ships where we will be using it. The developments enabled by DSEI have real and tangible benefits to all of us in the Royal Navy”. “It is hugely validating to have the support of the Royal Navy behind DSEI 2021. We believe that DSEI offers the single most valuable opportunity in the biennial defence trade show calendar to connect UK companies and their international counterparts with each other and their end customers across the land, sea and air domains,” Grant Burgham, DSEI Event Director, Clarion Defence & Security, commented. “We aim to foster business connections at every level and look forward to presenting a world-class industry response to the Royal Navy’s requirements as they look to support emerging operating concepts over the coming decade.” The Naval Zone at DSEI 2021 will once again host a range of Royal Navy and international warships on static display at the dockside, with waterborne demonstrations showcasing the latest capabilities on the River Thames.
