Lord Smith of Kelvin opens Boston Networks new headquarters
Lord Smith of Kelvin has officially opened the new leading edge headquarters of Boston Networks, a Scottish technology company who design, deliver, manage and maintain multi-site, multi-service infrastructures to drive businesses and connect people, places and devices.
After a period of sustained growth following several major contract wins, including the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games and the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Campus, Boston Networks has relocated its company headquarters to a new purpose designed space in Braehead, near Glasgow. The 8,000 sq. ft. space will provide employees and visitors with a spacious, dynamic, and collaborative environment in which to work, innovate and spend social time together.
Lord Smith, who chaired the organising committee for Glasgow 2014, is Chairman of the Green Investment Bank and Chancellor of the University of Strathclyde, unveiled a plaque to commemorate the occasion.
He noted Boston Networks success at delivering a highly reliable and resilient data, voice and video network for Glasgow 2014, and how the team spirit, unique culture and dedicated employees have allowed the business to develop and grow, to deliver a real contribution to the Scottish economy.
