Menlo Security partnership with Distology

Menlo Security, a provider in cloud security, has announced a new strategic partnership with Distology.

Menlo Security has selected the specialist IT cybersecurity distributor to help roll out its portfolio of products to the UK market. Menlo Security helps IT and security professionals to eliminate cybersecurity threats by protecting users and business networks via its Cloud Security Platform powered by its Isolation Core.

Recent research from Distology reveals more than one in three (37%) IT leaders admit employees in their organisation haven’t been educated on how to avoid a security breach. This demonstrates the importance of implementing protective measures, such as those from Menlo Security, to protect employees and businesses from cyber threats on the web, including those transmitted via documents and email.

John Brown, Director EMEA Channels at Menlo Security, said “With Menlo’s Cloud Security Platform deployed, completely safe versions of content are rendered to the endpoint, such as mobile devices, whilst preserving the native user-experience. This means potentially malicious code that could be hidden in all that content is never executed on the endpoint device.

“This partnership with Distology is an extremely important milestone for Menlo Security in its European expansion plans. The UK will form the cornerstone of our EMEA growth, and we look forward to Distology becoming a key component of our Partner Ecosystem. We also value partners that can clearly and concisely articulate Menlo’s Isolation-powered approach to security in a challenging and fast-paced threat environment.”

This new partnership enables Distology to distribute Menlo’s entire portfolio, including; Secure Web Gateway (SWG), Menlo Private Access (MPA) for Zero Trust, Cloud Data Leak Prevention (DLP), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Remote Browser Isolation (RBI), and Email Link & Attachment Isolation.

Lance Williams, Chief Product Officer at Distology, commented “Using the web is second-nature to most people and, as organisations invest more in cloud-based platforms, web-based applications and communication tools have become the norm. This means we’re at the point of the greatest reliance of working on the web that we’ve ever seen. However, with the web being the main vector for cybersecurity attacks, the benefits tools offer also come with inherent risk, and it’s the responsibility of each organisation to ensure their multi-cloud environments are safe and secure to protect both their people and the business.

“Educating employees using cybersecurity awareness training and/or integrated human layer security (such as, Zivver, Tessian, Egress) are both a great defence means, however, as malware tactics become even more sophisticated and increasingly subtle, it’s overly ambitious to expect people to be on their guard 24/7. This is where a provider like Menlo Security, which will be offered to customers as part of Distology’s workspace security solution strategy, can help.

“Menlo Security is not your average web security company, as its Isolation Core™ extracts threats away from networks, giving businesses a super-simple way to protect people by making online threats completely irrelevant; wherever employees are, however they’re working and whatever device they’re working on. How Menlo Security does this is a game-changer and it’s what we’re going to really enjoy educating everyone on. It’s a very exciting partnership and the Menlo team are incredibly passionate about what they do.”
