MOBOTIX will present new cameras as well as their latest accessories at this year’s Light+Building trade show in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Visitors to stand D40 in hall 9.0 will see the S14 FlexMount and DualDome D14 cameras operating in real application scenarios along with the Hemispheric T24 Door Station with all its new modules. The security systems are complemented by new accessories such as the MX-NPS3 Network Power Switch, various weatherproof functional boxes and the new T24-Display, a compact remote video station for the Door Station. Energy efficiency is the main theme of Light+Building 2012 taking place between April 15 and 20. MOBOTIX solutions with their low energy requirements of less than five watts fit perfectly into the ‘green concept’ of the world’s largest light and building technology trade fair.
Hemispheric IP Video Door Station T24: Launch Of The MOBOTIX App
MOBOTIX have started 2012 with deliveries of the complete T24 IP Video Door Station. In addition to the hemispheric video door intercom, which received the renowned Plus X Award for innovation, high quality and usability, and was awarded ‘Best Product of 2011’ in its product class, the T24-KeypadRFID, the Security Door Opener (T24-Doormaster) and optionally the two-wire network module (T24-Info2wire+) will now also be on show. Customers get a powerful, complete video solution for door communication and access control. The new IP telephony standard enables the user to establish a direct connection from the Door Station to any VoIP phone or any computer or smartphone running VoIP software. This means that by setting up the appropriate network infrastructure, the user will be able to establish a video connection, remotely open doors or view video messages and review recordings from anywhere around the world. The whole Door Station consumes very little power (around five watt-hours), which is provided directly via the Ethernet cable.
In addition to using an IP video phone or a computer with the MxEasy user software, T24 customers will soon also be able to use their iPhone or iPad as a mobile remote station. The new MOBOTIX App will be presented to the public for the first time at this year’s Light+Building trade show. A connection to the T24 can be established over the IP network from anywhere around the world using WLAN (Wi-Fi) or UMTS. The App provides fully automatic and mobile notifications when someone rings the doorbell, and offers options for two-way video communication with the visitor and to remotely open the door. It will also be possible to retrieve voice mailbox messages, live images and recordings from all integrated MOBOTIX Door Stations and cameras.
T24 Display: New Compact Remote Video Station For The Door Station
The T24-Display is a versatile expansion module for the Hemispheric IP Video Door Station that fits inside the familiar T24 frames and housings. Equipped with a touch screen, the module functions as a permanently installed video remote station, including a player, voice mailbox and T24 default settings. Thanks to integrated RFID technology, the device can also read access or admin cards and trigger pre-configured switching and configuration functions.
S14 FlexMount: World’s First Double Hemispheric Camera
MOBOTIX are proud to present the recently developed S14 FlexMount, a camera characterized above all by its miniature lens units with integrated microphone and huge range of application scenarios. The S14 can be equipped with up to two module units that are each connected to the actual camera housing via a two-meter long cable. Hemispheric, 90° modules or day/night modules can be selected. Both the module units and the separate housing with the latest dual camera board are weatherproof in accordance with IP65. The flat housing can be installed, including flash memory and all external connectors (Ethernet, MiniUSB, MxBus), discreetly and with optimal protection behind a wall or ceiling panel so that only the lens units in their ultra-compact protective housing are visible in the room.
Another novelty of the S14 is the option to mount two hemispheric lens units simultaneously. This makes it possible to fully secure two rooms located next to or on top of one another with one single S14 system. The camera will be presented to expert audiences at the Light+Building trade show and will be available from mid-2012.
MxAnalytics For The Q24: Heatmap, People Counting and Fully Automated Reports
MOBOTIX cameras automatically detect movement in a monitored area. With the additional MOBOTIX video analysis tools for the Hemispheric Q24, MOBOTIX enhanced image data processing inside the camera, thus offering new and valuable information sources for process optimization or marketing purposes, for example. How many people go in and out of which entrance during the day? Which shelves in a shop are the biggest draw for customers this month?
MxAnalytics makes it possible to monitor people and objects and collect statistical data. Heatmaps are created for this purpose and an analysis made of contour lines in the image. The camera records how often each contour line is passed over within a specified period. The most frequented areas are highlighted in color on a heatmap. The results are saved in the camera and can be exported via various interfaces.
D14 HiRes Dual Camera In Three New Models
MOBOTIX are also launching the second generation of the D14D DualDome camera which can take dual images at a resolution of up to 6.2 megapixels. The new D14D features a vandalism sensor that detects forced manipulation of the camera or direction of the lens. The new D14D-DayNight-Fix model comes with lenses that are mounted precisely parallel to each other to allow for even simpler and faster fine tuning. The D14D-180° model delivers ultra-high resolution 180° panorama images that can be greatly magnified both in live mode and as a recording. This enables users to reliably analyze any detail in the monitored area. Like all MOBOTIX day/night cameras, the D14D DNight-Fix does not need a mechanical IR blocking filter and guarantees significantly higher contrast black and white images than conventional camera concepts.
MX-NPS3 Network Power Switch: Weatherproof, Versatile, Independent
The weatherproof PoE switch (network switch) can connect and supply power to up to three IP cameras or end devices using a single network cable. The main advantage of Power over Ethernet is that no additional power cable is required, making Ethernet devices easy to install in hard-to-reach places or in places that are not equipped to handle numerous cables. The device also provides MxBus, MiniUSB, Line In/Out and RS232 interfaces, in addition to an integrated microphone and speaker. With its galvanically separated ports, the MX-NPS3 meets the requirements of the Environment B Standard for a PoE switch approved for use in outdoor areas. The switch and the end devices that it supplies are either supplied with power directly via the network cable (PoE/PoE+) or using an external power supply unit or battery (12-57VDC). By simply inserting a UMTS USB modem into the weatherproof special housing, the connected devices become accessible wirelessly across the world.
Functional Boxes: MX-GPS-Box, MX-NPA-Box, MX-232-IO-Box, MX-Repeater-Box
The weatherproof MOBOTIX functional boxes increase the utility of an entire video system, even in the simplest installation case. The MX-GPS-Box will be available as a global world clock for MOBOTIX systems and for sending out an alarm in the event of a change of position. The MX-NPA-Box provides a PoE power supply for an outdoor camera. An MX-232-IO-Box has two outputs. Each of these can switch and supply power to an external relay. One of these can optionally also be used as a potential-free signal output. And the MX-Repeater-Box serves as an MxBus power amplifier for longer cable connections and additional MxBus devices.
All functional boxes feature the compact housing of the currently available MX-Patch-Box and consequently concealed installation is now possible in an outdoor wall mount.
