New Axis Regional Director for Northern Europe outlines key ambitions

Atul Rajput, Axis Regional Director for Northern Europe

Atul Rajput has been appointed Regional Director for Northern Europe at network video solutions provider Axis Communications and has pledged to drive growth and the shift to IP across the region.

Rajput steps into the shoes of Phil Doyle, who left the company to join Quadrant Security Group as its new managing director

Rajput has operated across sales, technical and business development disciplines during a 15-year career with Axis to date and was most recently responsible for business development across Northern Europe as part of the regional management team

He also played an integral part in designing and launching the training initiative Axis Academy in the UK, which has trained more than 30,000 partners and supports the migration from analogue to IP surveillance video technologies.

Rajput, previously influential in increasing the awareness of network video’s role in retail and transport sectors, said the appointment was a “fantastic opportunity” and he relished the challenges to come.

Under the new position, Rajput will develop the strategic growth for Axis in the region while also playing an active role in global strategy and the new ‘Axis Camera Companion’ – video surveillance solutions aimed at SME’s.

Axis Communications is the market leader in network video solutions with offices in over 40 countries across the globe and partners in more than 179 countries. The new Regional Director for Northern Europe is committed to upholding Axis’ reputation to support its network in the region and push the on-going shift to digital video surveillance.

“I look forward to helping to maintain our strong market-leader position and continue to drive business growth and drive the convergence from analogue to IP surveillance across Northern Europe,” he said.

“Axis has always strived to offer ‘best in class’ support for its wide network of loyal partners and leverage those relationships to deliver best of breed solutions to the market.

“I am fully committed to continuing to support our channel in focusing on cost effective solutions that deliver real business value for our customers that only raise the bar for safety and security, but also positively impact operations and business processes.”
