Optex previewing new European launches at IFSEC 2013

optex-logoOPTEX has confirmed it will be showing its new Fiber SenSys 8 zone alarm processing unit (APU) and a firmware version of its REDSCAN laser detector at IFSEC.

The Fiber SenSys FD508 APU is an 8-zone unit with a rack-mounted design for fibre-optic fence detection systems that are designed for high-security and commercial premises. Features include a single-strand sensing design (that does not require a loop back) and up to 800 metres of sensing cable per zone. The cable is insulated and resistant to EMI, RFI, lightning and corrosion.

OPTEX will also be previewing the new firmware version of the REDSCAN SH which includes a host of new features including loitering detection, and the ability to customise detection areas (per 30cm2), each with a different output. It also allows users to define flexible detection area settings similar to video motion detection.

Visitors will also be able to see the recently launched REDWALL IP detector portfolio and its integration with the HawkEye Site mapping module, which creates a custom GPS map within minutes by precisely placing cameras and REDWALL sensors/detectors on a blueprint or satellite image of your facility alongside the integrated Milestone VMS XProtect. (OPTEX will have a demonstration pod on the Milestone stand – Hall 4/F90 to show how its IP detectors integrate seamlessly with the Milestone VMS platforms.)

OPTEX will also showcase the new RX series grade 2 detectors, the grade 3 CDX series and a preview of the new wireless outdoor detector line-up to reinforce the company ’s new positioning in the intruder market.
