OPTEX Training Centre Celebrates a Year of Success

One year since the opening of OPTEX’s state-of-the-art training centre in Madrid, the company reflects on the centre’s positive impact on its partners and customers in the region. Milton Acosta, Regional Sales Manager for Iberia, and Nikitas Koutsourais, Pre-Sales and Support Consultant for Southern Europe, share their insights on the centre’s achievements and the critical role it plays in OPTEX’s ongoing commitment to innovation, customer support, and knowledge-sharing across Iberia.

Investing in Knowledge and Growth

Opened in November 2023, OPTEX’s Madrid training centre was established to provide partners and customers with a hands-on experience of the company’s comprehensive portfolio of sensing security solutions. Designed as an immersive learning environment, the centre enables attendees to directly interact with OPTEX’s innovative sensor technologies.

“We chose Spain—and Madrid specifically—because of the region’s strategic importance and the rapid growth we’ve seen here,” explains Milton Acosta. “Our goal was to create a space that brings us closer to our partners, allowing easy access to our expertise and support. The training centre stands as a tangible symbol of our commitment to empowering our partners with the knowledge they need to succeed, equipping them to leverage our technology to its fullest potential.”

A Commitment to Innovation and Customer Empowerment

In alignment with OPTEX’s core values of innovation, collaboration, and education, the training centre embodies the company’s mission to foster a safer, more secure world. “This year marks OPTEX’s 45th anniversary—a milestone that highlights our enduring mission to advance security technology,” says Acosta. “The training centre allows us to connect more deeply with our partners and customers, addressing challenges together and fostering innovation across the industry.”

Nikitas Koutsourais further underscores the value of real-world experience: “Seeing a product in action makes all the difference. The centre provides an interactive environment where customers can explore our solutions through live demonstrations, gaining hands-on experience that goes beyond what research or reviews can offer. We also offer certification programs, ensuring our partners not only understand the technology but can effectively implement it.”

As the Madrid centre celebrates its first anniversary, OPTEX continues its focus on empowering customers and partners across the Iberian region, strengthening ties, and delivering solutions that not only meet but exceed industry standards.
