Paxton Partners with Skills for Security

The security technology manufacturer Paxton is proud to announce a partnership with Skills for Security. They will provide training opportunities for apprentices in the security industry, making them the brand of choice for new installers starting their journey in access control.

As a forward-thinking developer of advanced access control and video management solutions, Paxton is committed to equipping the next generation of security professionals with the knowledge and skills required to work in the emerging smart security industry.

Dan Drayton, Paxton’s Divisional Director of EMEA Sales Region, said: “At Paxton we know it is important to keep engaging new people with the right skills to grow our industry.  We want to support the next generation of security professionals and help them to be well-equipped with the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in the ever-evolving security landscape.

“By partnering with Skills for Security we are investing in the future of our industry and helping to close the knowledge gap for security installers.”

Paxton will support apprentices with hands-on training on the company security systems. This includes Paxton10 which is an access control and combined video management platform, Net2 Paxton’s IP networked security system, Entry the company’s door entry system with a brand-new app, and PaxLock their wireless door handle range. These products are continuously developed and updated, which will ensure apprentices gain experience with the latest and cutting-edge security technologies.

Apprentices will also gain a deeper understanding of smart credentials using Bluetooth and Near Field Communication (NFC), as well as video management, and cloud-based access control technology. This will prepare them to implement scalable and intelligent security solutions in a large variety of environments.

Skills for Security is the UK’s largest provider of fire and security apprenticeships. They offer a range of programmes and on-demand courses to help individuals develop their skills and advance their careers in the industry. Their training is designed to provide a hands-on experience with the latest technology and practices, ensuring apprentices are well-equipped for real-world security challenges.

David Scott, Managing Director of Skills for Security, said: “As the fire and security industry evolves, it is essential our training reflects the latest advancements. Our partnership with Paxton allows apprentices to gain invaluable, hands-on experience with innovative security systems, ensuring they are well-prepared for the real-life integration operations.”
