Paxton supports BBC DIY SOS: The Big Build Veterans Special

Paxton, UK market leader of electronic access control and door entry solutions, recently supported the BBC’s DIY SOS team in their project to create homes for ex-service personnel.

DIY SOS: The Big Build attracts around 6 million viewers in its weekly prime time slot on BBC One. The veterans special was aired in two episodes on Wednesday 14th and Wednesday 21st October, with presenter Nick Knowles and the DIY SOS team embarking on their most ambitious project to date.

A row of derelict houses in Manchester were transformed into a street of homes and a new community for war veterans with the help of the BBC team, local companies and even the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry.

Paxton was delighted to support the project, and provided its flagship door entry system, Net2 Entry for use on the site. It was quickly wired into place by installation company CIA 2000 Ltd who were working on the show.

The system offers simple installation, with just three components that auto-detect on set up; external panel, interior monitor and door controller, for a true plug and play solution.

Those that missed the programme can find it on BBC iPlayer.
