The Redvision X-SERIES™ dome / ball PTZ camera is available with a PSU option incorporating 16, built-in, alarm inputs. The unit supports both hard-wired and wireless alarm inputs, has three, 0V alarm output relays for ALARM, WASH and AUX, and is directly compatible with Redvision’s range of wireless PIR detectors.

“If an alarm is activated by a PIR detector, for example, any number of X-SERIES™ dome / ball PTZ cameras within a system can be triggered to move to a pre-set position or begin a tour,” explains Paul Hucker, Managing Director of UK-based CCTV manufacturer, Redvision. “Alarms within the system can also be masked on a time basis, so that PIRs can be disregarded during working hours and reactivated, automatically, out of hours, when nobody should be present.”

The unit, model number RVX-PSU-ALM-16-W, comes in an IP 66 rated, weather proof enclosure and wiring connections are made using pluggable terminal blocks. It has on-board LEDs for RS485 diagnostics, built-in lightening protection and operates in temperatures between -35° and 50°C.
