Samsung unveils new megapixel cameras at ISC West 2011

3 megapixel network cameras supports full HD (1080p)

Samsung Techwin America, a global supplier of video surveillance and security products combining superior performance and value, introduces several new megapixel cameras at ISC West 2011, including a 3 megapixel full HD network camera, also available in a dome version, a flush-mount dome version and a vandal resistant model for outdoor applications. Also new to the Samsung megapixel line are a 1.3 megapixel HD 20x zoom network camera and a 1.3 megapixel HD weatherproof network infrared (IR) camera for viewing in darkness.

Their higher definition images are impressive, and they boost the functionality of system solutions for a variety of surveillance needs.”

Model SNB-7000 is a 3-megapixel full HD network camera offering 2048 x 1536-pixel resolution using a 1/2.8-inch CMOS imager. Other features include an H.264/MJPEG dual codec, 16:9 full HD (1080p) resolution support and smart compression (region-of-interest encoding). The camera supports wide dynamic range (WDR) in 2-megapixel mode and provides SSNRIII noise reduction.

Model SND-7080 is a dome version of the 3-megapixel full HD network camera, and Model SND-7080F is a flush-mount dome. Each all-in-one dome model uses a 3-8.5mm (2.8x) motorized varifocal lens. Model SNV-7080 is a vandal-resistant network dome version for outdoor applications, including an IP66 environmental rated (waterproof) housing.

Model SNO-5080R is a 1.3-megapixel HD weatherproof network IR camera providing 1280 x 1024 resolution using a 1/3-inch CMOS sensor and supporting 16:9 HD (720p). Thirty-one infrared LEDs (light-emitting diodes) provide IR illumination, and the camera uses Power over Ethernet (PoE). The camera has a 2.8-10mm (3.6x) varifocal lens and can view up to 100 feet (30m). The infrared model features a H.264/MPEG-4/MJPEG multiple codec and has an IP66-rated waterproof housing.

Model SNZ-5200 is 1.3 megapixel HD 20x network zoom camera with a 4.45-89mm focal length integrated lens in addition to a 16x digital zoom. The 1/3-inch CMOS sensor provides 1280 x 1024 resolution and support for 16:9 HD (720p) resolution. Other features include H.264/MPEG-4/MJPEG multiple codec, Power over Ethernet (PoE), SD memory and bidirectional audio support.

Model SNP-5200/5200H is 1.3 megapixel HD 20x PTZ dome camera series with a 4.45-89mm focal length integrated lens in addition to a 16x digital zoom. The 1/3-inch CMOS sensor provides 1280×1024 resolution and support for 16:9 HD (720p) resolution. These cameras are available in either an indoor or outdoor model. Other features include H.264/MPEG-4/MJPEG multiple codec, Power over Ethernet (PoE), SD memory and bi-directional audio support.
