SMES Returns in 2015

After two successful editions in 2009 and 2011, the Security Middle East Show (SMES) returns in 2015.

SMES has attracted several local, regional and global companies and received tremendous media attention for the significant role it had in developing the security and defense technological capabilities on a regional scale in MENA, the Near East and Gulf regions. SMES has become a scientific and technical reference as it covers a wide array of sectors, namely security and defense systems, training programs, communication devices, surveillance systems, land and sea border control equipment, airport security, infrastructure, as well as civil defense, special operations and counter terrorism. SMES will return in its third edition in September 08 – 10, 2015 under high-level official patronage, with the full support of the Lebanese Armed Forces and Internal Security Forces. An ever-growing audience, along with a higher number of exhibitors, special live maneuvers, and much more are to be expected.

SMES-2015 will take place at a time Lebanon is still cashing in on a $4-billion donation from Saudi Arabia to invest in the country’s military and security services. Some $3-billion have been signed with ODAS to procure French-built defense systems and another billion dollars was divided between the Lebanese Armed Forces and other security services to acquire weapons, vehicles and various systems. Lebanon is also experiencing a continued growth in real estate and is getting ready for oil and gas excavations, which will increase requirement for infrastructure security and facilities protection.

-More than 10,000 visitors attend SMES.

-International media coverage with two dozen media partners in 2011

-Official delegations 22 arab countries and International delegations.

-Live maneuvers by the LAF, Civil Defense and ISF.

-SMES is held under the Patronage of Lebanese Ministry of Defense MOD and Ministry of Interior MOI and with Official Support from LAF and ISF.

-USD 100, 000,000 worth of contracts signed at SMES 2011.

-Covering homeland security, counter-terrorism, border security, critical infrastructure security, and enterprise security

-SMES is regarded as a key homeland security show.

-SMES boasts unique content, quality of participation, and organization in order to maximize benefits for exhibitors and visitors alike.
