Just 18 months since its inauguration, Stanley Security Solutions’ ProtectionNet™ Customer Service Centre (PNC) has received the National Security Inspectorate’s (NSI) Gold accreditation.

A state-of-the-art monitoring facility, the PNC is a Class II Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) with capacity to monitor over 50,000 customers, making it among the largest in the UK.  It offers a comprehensive range of monitoring services, including Enhanced Call Verification for traditional intrusion systems, Advanced Audio Verification using exclusive Sonitrol® Audio Impact technology and Premier Video Verification intrusion monitoring, in addition to Fire Alarm monitoring and Stanley Managed Access Control services.

Already benefitting from prestigious SSAIB Certification, the awarding of Gold accreditation from NSI is further proof of the quality of the facilities and services provided by Stanley’s PNC.

The NSI is a specialist approvals and certification body for the security and fire industries.  NSI accreditation of a company proves that organisation works to the highest recognised industry standards as demanded by the Police, Fire and Rescue Services and insurance industry.  NSI approved companies meet all relevant British and European Standards for technical performance, security screen all relevant staff and provide a high level of training and supervision and are comprehensively insured.  Companies are inspected every six months by professional auditors including random site visits

To reach Gold level accreditation, Stanley Security Solutions also had to meet the industry specific ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Standard and demonstrate a long term track record of performance and evidence of reliability and stability.  With Stanley’s PNC just 18 months in operation, this was an achievement to be proud of, as Alistair Compton, Regional Vice President – Great Britain, explains: “Following a rigorous and detailed two day audit by NSI which involved scrutinising all of the PNC’s policies, procedures and practises, we were extremely proud to receive Gold accreditation.  It’s a great accomplishment in such a short period and provides independently verified proof of the quality of our ARC services.  In just 18 months we have gone from a starting point of zero to an incredible 4000 plus connections and aim to grow this exponentially.”

Stanley’s PNC is constructed and staffed to comply with BS5979.  With its attack resistant steel shell, continuous alarm and CCTV monitoring inside and out, hourly counter duress activity, recording of all inbound and outbound calls and entry/exit by airlock, the Centre is exceptionally secure and can meet the needs of a wide variety of commercial, industrial, government and residential customer requirements and applications.

The Centre features sophisticated monitoring workstations, each with the capacity to monitor 2000 sites.  These are staffed 24/7, 365 days a year, by personnel who have been rigorously vetted and certified through a meticulous four week specialist training course in all procedures relating to the ARC operations.

Renowned for its commitment to innovative technology, operational excellence, unparalleled customer service and partnering with customers to meet their security, safety and business needs, Stanley’s market-leading, advanced security technology underscores the company’s philosophy and commitment to protecting people, not just property.  The company deploys a daily discipline of ensuring consistent operational excellence in what it refers to as its five customer touchpoints: account management, installation, service, monitoring and billing.  Stanley provides a true business partnership with an “open book” approach by allowing customers to view their performance daily on these touchpoints.
