A luxury hotel and resort group has completed the first installation of IDIS DirectIP™ full-HD surveillance at its new flagship resort in Phuket, Thailand, as part of a wider DirectIP™ rollout programme. Commissioned ahead of the resort’s inauguration in December, the project is the first of twelve DirectIP™ solutions to be installed across the group’s new properties in Asia and North America.

How long has IDIS been participating in Intersec and how have you seen the event grow and change over the years?
Global surveillance leader, IDIS, has announced plans to debut its industry-changing DirectIP™ surveillance solutions at
enhance existing security operations at the school’s Cotswolds campus to provide a modern and flexible security solution that can adapt to future security needs.
The DirectIP™ solution covers both the main school and its sports facilities, the latter forming a shared community facility with the local council. Using network-enabled surveillance allows both parties to monitor the facilities and for the school to real-time share information and surveillance footage with public bodies, including the emergency services, in the event of an incident. Alastair Farwell, Site Manager at Katharine Lady Berkeley’s School, said, “The Sunstone team have provided us with a future proof security system allowing for other technologies to be brought on-line as required. We will continue to invest in improving the health, safety and wellbeing of our students as well as in deterring inappropriate use of the school facilities.”
IDIS and surveillance distributor iCenter HD have entered into a strategic agreement that will enable IDIS DirectIP™ solutions to be offered across the United Kingdom. DirectIP™, which launched in May 2013, offers full high-definition (HD) and networked surveillance solutions that provide true plug-and-play functionality. This feature ensures it is the ideal solution for iCenter’s customers who service small to mid-sized markets as well as large multi-site projects.
Although a new entity, iCenter HD is already leveraging its extensive industry understanding and is connecting a number of industry leaders in the security sector with major security projects via an established network of integration partners. iCenter HAD was established by Jeremy Cocks, a veteran entrepreneur within the CCTV industry, with the specific purpose of supplying the market with sophisticated, but simple to install, IP security products that are powerful enough to configure into larger security systems.

IDIS has opened a dedicated and purpose-built training and demonstration centre at its London facilities, following the launch earlier this year of its DirectIP full-HD surveillance solutions.
