Traka Touch systems integrate with Fleetster cloud based software to provide an innovative solution for managing pool vehicles

Traka, the intelligent access management systems company, has today signed a reseller agreement with Next Generation Mobility of Munich for the latter to integrate and sell its Traka Touch Key Management systems as part of the comprehensive cloud based Fleetster (www.fleetster.net) pool vehicle management and corporate car sharing solution.

The partnership allows for Next Generation Mobility to integrate its software “fleetster” to Traka Touch key management systems providing a customisable and seamless user experience. Fleetster is a web based application which allows for company pool vehicles to form a Corporate Car Sharing programme. The solution provides employees a user friendly interface to book vehicles more easily for business and personal purposes, reducing costs substantially, while helping streamline processes, motivating the workforce and in helping the environment through efficient integration of electric vehicles. Fleetster’s goal is to generate maximum mobility with minimum number of vehicles with optimal efficiency. On average pool vehicles sit 65% of their time idle as most cannot be used outside office hours. During office hours, utilisation is often as low as 30%, resulting in an overall utilisation of only 10% – for an expensive asset.

“fleetster offers companies tremendous potential for cost savings. Through joining forces with Traka our innovative software meets leading hardware to create an optimal user experience with a truly automated, flexible and robust solution” commented Leonhard von Harrach, chief sales officer at Next Generation Mobility.

Traka provides leading organisations with secure key cabinets to store Traka iFobs connected to physical keys. To access iFobs, staffs identify themselves at the automated cabinets via PIN, biometrics or smartcard. Each iFob contains authorisation information; thereby ensuring keys are used by authorised personnel only and with full integration capability ensuring keys are returned and accounted for in a timely and controlled manner together with recording of any faults found by the user with the asset or vehicle.

Traka Touch systems also improve auditing – with reports showing which staff accessed which keys, when they were taken and when they were returned making them ideal systems for the automotive sector.

“Traka has achieved more than 50% growth YTD 2013 in the automotive sector and with partnerships such as this with Next Generation Mobility we are confident that we will see substantial further growth on the strength of Fleetster, which is a powerful tool improving efficiency and reducing costs in managing car pools” commented Brenda Taylor, sales and marketing director with Traka.

Alongside its UK presence, Traka also operates from a US HQ and has an extensive network of overseas distributors providing sales, consultancy, installation and support services for its growing international customer base.
