UK Security Solutions on Display at Security Essen

UK security suppliers are trusted by customers across Europe, with their experience and track record in supplying the European market helping to cement long-term relationships with clients. British Security Industry Association members are looking ahead to attending the popular Security Essen exhibition in September, and have previewed details of the products and services that will be on display at this year’s show.

Expecting over 36,000 visitors from 115 countries, Security Essen remains one of Europe’s most popular security exhibitions, and for members of the British Security Industry Association (BSIA) and its dedicated Export Council, provides an essential opportunity to forge and grow relationships with European customers.

Five Export Council members are taking part in the BSIA-organised UK Pavilion this year, with some providing pre-event previews of the products and services that will be on display at the show:

Elmdene International Ltd will be exhibiting in Hall 3, Stand 502X, and will be showcasing its new EN54 ‘STX’ power supply range, consisting of eight new models in four power variants, providing the installer with a range of high quality, cost-effective power options. The company’s main product portfolio consists of power supplies, sounders, intruder contacts and ancillary devices, designing the latest energy efficient Switch Mode power supplies in Standard, Battery Monitored, Intruder Grade 2 & 3, EN54 (Fire) and PoE versions whilst CCTV ranges are available with multi-fused outputs in low profile, rack or IP66 formats.

Elmdene will also be showcasing a range of smoke detection devices and, as Europe’s largest manufacturer of high quality electronic products for the security, access control, fire and CCTV industries, is renowned for its reliable products and continued innovation.

Meanwhile, in Hall 3, Stand 502W, GJD Manufacturing Ltd will be showcasing its state-of-the-art dual-tech anti masking curtain detector, ‘The Pearl’. Utilising both microwave and PIR sensors with integral anti-masking detection, the device creates an invisible curtain beam pattern to protect properties against crime.

GJD will also showcase the new range of Clarius Plus Illuminators from the Group Company, Advanced LED Technology Ltd. The new Clarius Plus Illuminators feature an interchangeable lens system that allows users to adjust the output angle of an illuminator on site to a precise and pre-defined angle. As standard, the Clarius Plus kit includes interchangeable lenses to deliver angles of 10, 30, 60, 80 and 120 degrees out of the box providing enough flexibility to cover almost all applications.

Finally, leading control room furniture manufacturer, Winsted, will be returning to Security Essen, exhibiting its radical EnVision Command Console on Stand 502A in Hall 3. EnVision is Winsted’s next-generation console, built for today’s control room technology. A progressive new modular design offers the perfect balance of form, function and ergonomics suitable for any control room application, large or small.

The EnVision is one of the latest additions to Winsted’s comprehensive range of ergonomic and ‘future-proof’ modular consoles, and flexible and engineered products including monitor walls, workstations and digital desks. The company’s modular furniture offers construction advantages enabling their configuration to be tailored specifically to meet precise operating requirements. Winsted’s vast range of products and related accessories can be supplied from stock or customised and Winsted’s R&D programme benefits from continual input based on customer feedback.

The BSIA’s Export Council serves as a forum for relationships between the UK’s security industry and overseas buyers to be founded and cultivated, and acts as an invaluable port of call for overseas-based contacts interested in developing a relationship with a UK company as a partner, customer or distributor.

For BSIA members, Western Europe remained the most active export market in 2013, and according to an annual exporting survey conducted by the Association at the end of the year, is the single most important export market for BSIA members, followed by Eastern Europe, Russia and the Middle East.

With visitors expected from over 100 countries, Security Essen is one of the key events enabling UK suppliers to reach out to customers in these key regions. This year’s show will take place from 23rd – 26th September at the accessible Messe Essen exhibition centre.
Visitors to Security Essen can find out more about the BSIA’s Export Council and the expertise of its members at the BSIA’s stand (3-502H), at the UK Pavilion in Hall 3, or alternatively, you can learn more by logging on to www.bsia.co.uk/export-council.
