UNION For National Home Security Month

UNION, part of ASSA ABLOY, Security Solutions, is proud to have become a sponsor of National Home Security Month, designed to create awareness around the importance of home security.

The nationwide initiative that runs throughout October features a series of hints and tips to highlight the ways homes and families can be kept safe during the darker evenings.

Eryl Jones, Managing Director at ASSA ABLOY, Security Solutions, said: “We are proud to joining our sister brand, Yale, the founder of National Home Security Month, to create awareness relating to all aspects of home security.

“With recent published statistics showing that burglaries increase by up to 20 per cent when the clocks change, it is crucial that the security industry pulls together to help people combat the criminals who take advantage of the darker nights, by keeping their homes safe and secure.”

This year national home security month will be focusing on key topics over five weeks, including: dark nights, door and window security, protecting your valuables, outdoor security and future home security. UNION will be offering advice on the benefits of using authorised trade suppliers during door and window security week.
