The list is a comprehensive ranking system that is released annually by a&s International, the publication of Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd. This ranking focuses on the self-developed products, brands, or solutions of security companies and manufacturers.

Over the last decade the Security 50 has developed a standing as a primary benchmark within the security industry, with rankings determined by comparing product sales and the financial performance of individual companies. Despite increasingly intense market competition and diverse economic conditions, VIVOTEK has maintained a 20.7% revenue growth rate, outperforming 31 companies across the globe to achieve its rank as 19th amid 50 industry leading leaders. Notably, VIVOTEK is the sole Taiwanese company to be ranked in the top 20 companies.
