Wavestore have reported great success at Intersec 2014, with a number of clients committing to specify Wavestore for major projects in the Middle East and some significant business agreements signed at the show with key regional business partners.
“In addition to the Wavestore stand which was located in the UKTI pavilion, five independent technology companies also demonstrated our VMS on their stands in order to show how an open platform ONVIF compliant Wavestore video recording and management solution can complement their products,” said Chris Williams, Director of Wavestore. “This generated a great number of enquiries from consultants, installers and system integrators who were looking for integrated security solutions and it highlighted the value of collaboration between manufacturers who specialise in providing key elements of the total security solution.”
It is estimated that 25,000 visitors attended the three-day event which took place on 19-21st January at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. With 44,000sqm of exhibition space divided into Commercial Security & Information Security; Safety & Health; Fire & Rescue and Homeland Security & Policing zones, the exhibition had approximately 22% more exhibitors than the 2013 event.
There was considerable interest shown in a biometric facial recognition system which was on show on the Wavestore stand from businesses, organisations and governments in the Middle East who were looking for innovative solutions for mission critical type applications. “We were able to demonstrate how effective the latest generation of software is at simultaneously capturing multiple faces and how a positive detection of an individual on the database can be displayed on the Wavestore client monitor,” said Chris Williams.
