Vectra AI

Vectra AI honors its channel champions

Vectra AI, a provider in threat detection and response, announced the winners of its first regional Partner Awards. Celebrating the dedication of outstanding partners across the Middle East, Turkey, and North Africa (METNA), the ceremony was held during Saudi Arabia’s LEAP conference, a platform for future technologies and disruptive innovators from around the world. Winners in disciplines from value-added distribution to systems integration were awarded for their commitment to Vectra’s regional vision, their contributions to the company’s growth, and the parts they have played in the stability and security of end customers’ digital estates. “Vectra is recognised throughout the Middle East, Turkey and North Africa for our long-standing commitment to the region’s organisations, who face a multitude of threats, from increasingly sophisticated RansomOps to APTs; but we do not stand alone,” said Fuad Enaya, Regional Partner Manager – METNA, Vectra AI. “Our partners are the frontline force through which we provide customers with our patented AI-driven threat detection platform.” Vectra’s channel enablement programs — which are announced periodically through its dedicated partner portal — expanded throughout 2021 to include several new incentive schemes. Vectra also enhanced its innovative online demo system, which helps partners quickly familiarise themselves with new platform functions and features, thereby enhancing their presales capabilities. Additionally, Vectra recruited key personnel in METNA throughout the year, in the sales, engineering, marketing, and channel functions. “Our moves in strengthening our channel and the Vectra team that supports it are in direct response to the changes in the threat ecosystem,” Fuad explained. “Across METNA, organisations have taken to the cloud for all the business agility and remote-working options it provides. But newfound complexities have emerged around hybrid and multi-cloud environments and the uncertain status of the personal devices used by WFH employees. There has never been a more pressing need for skilled, dedicated SIs, resellers, and distributors to protect organisations’ environments, employees, and customers.” Vectra saw 40% year-on-year sales growth through its regional channel in 2021 and its METNA partners enjoyed growth of 90% over the same period, with deal registration rates rising by 300%. The awards recognised the commitment, innovation, and achievements of 18 partners operating across METNA. “In 2022, we foresee RansomOps hitting more cloud customers; we foresee governments striking back; and we foresee greater demand for managed detection and response, and the automation of key security tasks to relieve the burden on beleaguered CISOs and their teams,” continued Fuad. “In a world where prevention is regularly defeated and attacks often succeed, we must conclude that motivated threat actors pose a challenge that we must come together to solve. That is what Vectra does through our channel network. We will continue to invest in simplifying our program structures and strengthening our value propositions to ensure our partners can add rich value for end customers and enjoy the revenue growth that goes along with that.” Media contact Rebecca Morpeth Spayne, Editor, Security Portfolio Tel: +44 (0) 1622 823 922 Email: editor@securitybuyer.com

Keeper Security

Keeper Security acquires Glyptodon

Keeper Security, the provider of zero-trust and zero-knowledge cybersecurity software covering password management, dark web monitoring, digital file storage and messaging, announced the acquisition of Glyptodon, the creator of Glyptodon Enterprise, a remote access gateway which provides DevOps and IT teams with effortless access to RDP, SSH, VNC and Kubernetes endpoints through a web browser. Glyptodon is also the company that invented and maintains Apache Guacamole, the open source platform used by millions of people for accessing remote desktops. The acquisition enhances Keeper Security’s continued evolution in the identity and access cybersecurity space, particularly in enabling hyper-secure access to remote resources. It includes integration of Glyptodon Enterprise into Keeper Security’s zero-trust and zero-knowledge security and encryption architecture, resulting in a highly-secure, agentless remote access platform, without the need of a virtual private network (VPN). “In today’s changing work environment with distributed technical teams and compute resources residing in the cloud or in a remote location, it is vital that enterprises can securely and quickly connect with those systems,” said Darren Guccione, CEO and Co-Founder of Keeper Security. “Acquiring Glyptodon is an important component of our go-forward strategy as we unify essential privileged access management features into our cybersecurity platform to protect organisations in the public and private sectors.” “We’re excited to become part of Keeper Security which is leading how enterprises protect company data at a time when the traditional way of working has been transformed,” said Glyptodon CEO Mike Jumper. “Bringing Glyptodon’s technology and insight securing enterprise remote computing access to Keeper Security will provide customers with the industry’s most comprehensive and secure remote working experience.” Keeper will continue to support the open-source Apache Guacamole project while also advancing the capabilities of its fully-supported, commercial version. Alongside the public announcement, Keeper has integrated Glyptodon and Keeper Secrets Manager, providing encrypted vault storage of access credentials. In the coming months ahead, Keeper Security plans to enhance Glyptodon and integrate advanced capabilities into the Keeper Enterprise platform. OSPAs Thought Leadership Summit 2022

The fourth OSPAs Thought Leadership Summit, organised in association with NSI (National Security Inspectorate), takes place on Thursday, 24 February 2022 at the Royal Lancaster London and the full programme has now been released. The programme has an impressive line-up of speakers covering a wide range of hot topics relevant to the whole security industry including: What are the expectations of the security sector now? A police perspective Ian Dyson QPM – Recently retired Commissioner, City of London Police Geoff Zeidler – Chair, Police and Security Group (PaS) There was a time when the security sector was widely berated by police officers for its failure to deliver, most notably in the high levels of false alarm activations wasting much police time. Roll on two decades and things have changed. ECHO has pioneered new ways of working, the security sector has stepped up, but the police response has been disappointingly slow. Is it time for the sector to argue is it the police who now need to get its act together? What do the police want from security now? What should happen next? What is it realistic to expect from the regulator? Michelle Russell – CEO, Security Industry Authority Since the SIA was formed there has been a call for its remit to be focused differently, many calling for more coverage and with more teeth, in short more action; but the SIA is restricted by statute. So, what can the industry expect from its regulator? In what ways can the SIA inspire, nudge, influence and incentivise where its powers are limited? Just how far is it prepared to go? The Protect Duty: what are the implications and opportunities for the security sector? Andrew Donaldson – Head of Security, Real Estate Management (UK) John Frost – Group Head of Business Continuity & Chairperson of the Retail Business Continuity Association (RBCA) Stuart Toal – Head of Non-Motor Commercial Insurance, Allianz UK This panel discussion will review the Protect Duty consultation and opportunities for improved collaboration to support the broader Protect agenda. More specifically, are current security risk assessments delivered by the private sector as effective as they could be? What should be introduced and why? Who are the winners and losers amongst security suppliers? What the bosses say Paul Evans – CEO, Carlisle Support Services Christian Watts – MD, Fire and Security Systems, Mitie The last two years have been monumental for the security sector. Amongst suppliers there have been winners and losers, although there is general recognition that post Covid represents new opportunities. In this session we explore the views of those who have led through the crisis and hear what they expect to happen next; who will be the winners and losers going forward and why? What are the barriers and opportunities for industry collaboration? How can the sector present a more united front? Jayne King – Chair, Security Commonwealth The industry needs to work together to present the best image of its work, and to present itself as a sector that is easier to engage with (currently it appears fragmented). But do the competing priorities between different associations, and the commercial rivalry amongst security companies render true collaboration difficult? How good are current initiatives and how can they be improved? Doors to the Thought Leadership Summit will open at 11:30; lunch will be provided, and an exhibition of products and services will be on display. The event will finish at 17:00 and the OSPAs awards dinner will follow at 18:45.   Media contact Rebecca Morpeth Spayne, Editor, Security Portfolio Tel: +44 (0) 1622 823 922 Email: editor@securitybuyer.com
