Paxton, which designs and manufactures market leading IP access control, door entry and building intelligence systems for smart buildings, has appointed a new field training engineer to cover the North of England, Scotland and Ireland.
Paul Massey has worked in security and access control for more than 20 years and has installed Paxton systems in buildings across Europe. He’s now perfectly placed to share his extensive knowledge with others.
Paul worked as a CCTV and access control installer for many years, before becoming a senior engineer and then technical operations manager at a London-based security company.
He said: “I’ve always enjoyed helping people understand how things work and have spent a lot of time training and mentoring others.
“I started installing Paxton systems about 15 years ago, so you could say I’ve had a fairly good grounding! The company has a great energy and I’m looking forward to reflecting that positivity back on the installers during training. My aim is for them to leave our workshops knowing more about our systems but also with a great impression of Paxton.”
Andrew Waller, Paxton’s UK Training Manager, said: “Paul is an engaging trainer with a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm. We’re really happy to have him on board.”
Paxton designs and develops its products at the Paxton Technology Centre in Brighton and manufactures all its products along the coast in Eastbourne.
With over 30 years of experience, Paxton develops systems for the mid-market (such as education, healthcare, retail, leisure, commercial and public sector) and provide solutions suitable for a wide range of sites and requirements. At present, around 25,000 buildings are secured by Paxton globally each year.
The company is constantly expanding internationally, and they currently have over 300 employees located at locationsacross the globe with offices in the UK, US, France, Germany, South Africa, Scandinavia, the Middle East and Benelux.
