Secured by Design member company Asgard Secure Steel Storage have joined The Northern Powerhouse Partner Programme.
The Northern Powerhouse is the Government’s vision for a super-connected, globally-competitive northern economy with a flourishing private sector, a highly-skilled population, and world-renowned civic and business leadership.
The Northern Powerhouse Partner Programme is an essential part of creating the Northern Powerhouse with the government growing a network of partners who all believe strongly in the economic potential of the North and supporting the need for a combined effort by government and business to realise that potential. The Partner Programme already has a number of businesses and organisations from a variety of sectors signed up to it.
Asgard Managing Director, Nick Hewitt said: “Our 118,000 sq. ft production facility is currently undergoing significant multi-million-pound investment to facilitate our growth plans. This year we have invested over £1m in Laser and Bender technologies with further investment to follow. As a result, Flexiform has been listed in the Business Desktop 50 fastest-growing companies across the Leeds City Region.
“Not only will this investment strategy increase local employment, it will also allow us to grow and build on our reputation as key Northern manufacturers.”

Asgard Secure Steel Storage is a division of Flexiform Business Furniture Limited, a leading UK manufacturer and supplier of steel storage systems for almost 40 years – and one of only 6 GPS (Government Procurement Services) appointed companies in the UK. The company’s manufacturing facility started off in Leeds, however constant growth necessitated a move to Bradford, ensuring their northern roots were maintained.
