Provider of surface treatment solutions, Poeton Industries, has remained fully operational at all three of its production sites and has increased its support for customers working on vital medical equipment required for the UK during these challenging times.
This comes following the governments call for those industries with the capabilities to manufacture the now vitally needed ventilators for the NHS as the Coronavirus becomes more wide-spread across the UK in the coming weeks.
In a statement the UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson stressed the vital role of Britain’s manufacturers in preparing the country for a significant spread of coronavirus and call on them to step up and support the nationwide effort to fight the virus.
As well as manufacturing capacity they also called for businesses with the following skills:
- design/specification
- rapid prototyping
- contract/product assembly
- certification/regulation/testing
- logistics
- medical training
Therefore the surface engineering specialists, with facilities in Gloucester, Cardiff and Poland, have taken the necessary measures as detailed by the UK Government to ensure the safety of staff and suppliers whilst also maintain support for customers.
