IDIS improves traffic monitoring

Latest addition to the IDIS NDAA-compliant range can accurately detect license plates on vehicles traveling up to 50mph

IDIS, manufacturer of South Korean-made video tech, has enhanced its line-up of video security solutions with the launch of a new, NDAA-compliant license plate capture camera.

The newest addition to the IDIS suite enables users to accurately capture the license plates of vehicles worldwide traveling up to 50mph (80 km/h). The 2MP DC-T6224HRXL has a detection range of over 325 yards (100m) in full light and advanced IR to capture flawless images at up to 66 feet (20m).

The camera also boasts analytics, including motion detection, active tampering, and trip zones, and can be quickly and easily connected to IDIS DirectIP NVRs to ensure rapid installation and secure, seamless connectivity. The DC-T6224HRXL is ideal for single-lane traffic monitoring and crime prevention.

Offering true WDR, the DC-T6224HRXL delivers crystal clear, full-HD images, while two-way audio and alarms allow operators to detect, verify, and respond to any security events quickly and easily. Uninterrupted forensic evidence is assured with IDIS Smart Failover, while the intuitive user interfaces of the enterprise-class IDIS Solution Suite VMS,  the cost-free IDIS Center client software and IDIS mobile apps make it easy and flexible to operate.

“Our new 2MP license plate capture camera is a practical addition to our NDAA-compliant product line-up,” notes Andrew Myung, President, IDIS America. “It’s ideal for a broad range of traffic applications to enhance safety and security and improve law enforcement operations. With simple plug-and-play installation and easy operation from cost-free or modular software, the new 2MP license plate capture camera meets the requirements of any size application, while keeping the IDIS promise of a low total cost of ownership.”
