Tavcom has announced that ‘Integration’ will be the central theme of the programme of lectures to be hosted in the Tavcom Training Theatre at IFSEC International 2014.

With the market for integrated security solutions expected to continue to grow dramatically over the coming years, visitors to IFSEC International 2014 will have the opportunity to attend free educational sessions addressing a wide range of integration issues which will be supported by expert speakers from across the security industry, including Richard Beckley of the Metropolitan Police, Professor Martin Gill of Perpetuity Research and Jon Laws, Senior Tutor for Tavcom Training.

As in previous years, the diversity of the subject matter of the lectures will mean that there is something for everyone,  including installers, sales and technical support people, specifiers and end-users; in fact anyone who is likely to be involved with the design and installation of an integrated security solution.

“We are delighted that for the fourth year running, Tavcom and its guest speakers will be sharing their expert knowledge with IFSEC visitors,” said Peter Poole, Event Manager for IFSEC International. “If previous years are anything to go by, everyone who attends the lectures in the Tavcom Theatre is likely to find themselves being highly entertained, whilst learning from people with real-world experiences to further understand how to maximise the latest technology and achieve totally integrated solutions.”

One of the key subjects to be addressed will be how to effectively manage the process of migration to IP, whilst Richard Beckley of the Metropolitan Police will highlight the importance of ensuring that images captured by video surveillance cameras, using a variety of compression formats, are from the police point of view, fit for purpose and can be used for persecution purposes.  Professor Martin Gill will present his views on the latest technology from the criminals’ perspective. Are they really worried about the security industry’s endeavour to deter and detect them?

In the region of 45,000 visitors are expected to visit IFSEC International which has been at the heart of the security market for more than 40 years and will this year for the first time take place at ExCeL London on 17-19 June.
