The Bromsgrove security and monitoring solutions company, Educonnect Limited, which trades as Ecl-ips, is marking its 20th anniversary this year. The company, set up in September 2002, has recently been going from strength to strength and our turnover has reached record-breaking levels.
Managing Director Aaron Kernaghan said: “We are so pleased to have survived these 20 years! Thank you to all the staff who helped us get to 2022 and who are helping us grow further. Here’s to the next 20!”
This financial strength reflects the company’s move into larger projects and providing fully integrated security services to high-net-worth individuals who have a range of needs on their country estates.
“I wanted to move away from the 5, 10 and 20 camera projects into the 50, 100 and 200 camera projects with access control,” Aaron said.
To secure the future success of Ecl-ips the company is now on the lookout for skilled and experienced people who would become part of a friendly but professional team. Ecl-ips is currently seeking a business development executive and at least one new engineer who will be able to support the exciting installation projects we have underway or in the pipeline.
Our project engineers should ideally have experience in installing CCTV, intruder alarms and access control systems. They need to be able to work well in a team to get a job completed as well as having good communication skills so they can deal with our wide range of clients and partners.
Aaron, who has been working for Ecl-ips since 2005 and bought out the company in 2007, at first used his Cisco networking and Netbotz expertise to gain a string of important clients. Operations Director, Darren, joined him in 2006 as a project engineer and has then worked his way up through the business.
Since 2007 the data centre and comms room monitoring business has expanded into security and access control solutions. Through partnerships with cutting- edge manufacturers and software developers Ecl-ips offers high quality and advanced CCTV, access control and intruder alarms.
Darren said: ““We have always looked for products to best suit our portfolio. We do a lot of research and testing. We buy in products to test to see if they suit, and if they don’t suit, we don’t continue, we look at the best solution”
Our most recent product offerings which have improved our core range are body-worn cameras, security fog generators and more recently the HALO smart sensor which is a three-in-one health, safety and vape detection device. Additionally, all our systems have been made more powerful, allowing users to respond more quickly to security breaches, due to the development of apps which mean they can be monitored and managed via smart phones and tablets.
