VidSys enhances risk management capabilities and product ease of use

logoVidSys, a leading provider of Physical Security Information Management (PSIM) software, today released the newest version of its PSIM software platform.  Version 7.0 enhances risk management capabilities and ease-of-use, allowing public and private organizations to improve overall response times, accuracy and organizational risk compliance.

The release features heightened 3D visualization, advanced mobile application capabilities and detailed situation reports including video snapshots.  Greater mobile functionalities give users in the field even more control over managing situations directly from their device, further enhancing collaboration between operators and first responders. In addition, operators can assess active situations more easily to improve real-time situation management, and obtain unparalleled visibility through mapping enhancements and quicker access to visual data.

“In order to reduce our organizational risk, we need to improve real-time situational awareness and enable faster decision making,” said Tom Gardner, Vice President Corporate Security, Sony Corporation of America. “The newest version of the VidSys PSIM software allows us to do this by further increasing the level of real-time detail we are able to obtain from our security ecosystem thereby providing our operators and security executives with better overall visibility into unfolding situations when seconds matter.”

The secure, web-based solution now includes more extensive information pertaining to the management of individual situations in an easy-to-digest format for post-analysis and compliance review. Additional benefits of the new release include more rapid third-party integration, increased operator efficiency and robust automation of corporate policies and procedures.

“Public and private organizations alike are focused on risk reduction and are adopting our PSIM software to help them attain greater situational awareness in a cost effective manner to meet those objectives,” said James Chong, founder, CTO and SVP strategic innovation, VidSys. “With this release, we make it easier than ever before for organizations to manage risk, improve response times and empower operators with actionable information for smarter, real-time decision making.”
