Gunnebo Safe Storage Unveils SecureBattery

Gunnebo Safe Storage has launched SecureBattery, an innovative product line designed to meet the growing demands for safe battery storage and charging.

Increasingly, batteries are essential for powering various devices and equipment across industries and yet present unique storage challenges. The potential risks – ranging from thermal runaway to releasing hazardous gases – pose significant threats to safety.

These dangers make it imperative for industry leaders to provide expert solutions. Gunnebo Safe Storage’s SecureBattery product line is a proactive response, combining smart technology with robust safety features to protect people, assets and environments.

Gunnebo Safe Storage offers the new range in two variants, SecureBattery Professional and SecureBattery Lite. This flexibility allows customers to choose the solution that best fits their operational environment.

The SecureBattery cabinets come equipped with a high standard of fire safety systems, including smoke detectors, temperature sensors, and automatic fire extinguishers (optimised for battery fires.) These systems are engineered to detect and respond to fires swiftly, ensuring any incident is contained before it can escalate.

Built with fire-resistant materials certified to withstand extreme temperatures, the SecureBattery Professional cabinets offer up to 180 minutes of protection from internal fires and 90 minutes from external ones.
