D-Link has unveiled the world’s first indoor bullet camera with Wireless AC technology, combining fast connectivity, superior performance, easy installation and excellent design. The Wireless AC Day/Night HD Mini Bullet Cloud Camera (DCS-7000L) has a high definition sensor with a wide field of view to ensure home and business owners receive a clear image over a large area.
The camera’s sleek design is smaller than a beverage can, but combines a wealth of features to enhance its surveillance capabilities. This makes it ideal for open area surveillance such as entrances and lobbies as well as indoor car parks and warehouses. As a Wireless AC device, the camera benefits from all the advantages of the latest wireless standard. These include faster and more reliable connectivity, ensuring a high definition feed at 30 frames per second can be transmitted seamlessly.
“Simple, discreet and affordable home and business video surveillance is highly desirable today,” said Paul Routledge, Senior Business Manager, D-Link UK&I. “The Wireless AC Day/Night HD Mini Bullet Cloud Camera packs a load of features into a tiny, elegant design. It delivers sharp, high-resolution video with rich detail and is the first bullet camera with Wireless AC support, helping to guarantee video quality over Wi-Fi.”
As a mydlink™-enabled product, the camera can be accessed and configured remotely via the cloud using compatible mydlink™ mobile apps freely for iOS and Android smartphones and tablets. It can also be set up via a step-by-step guide without the need of a computer. The app also supports the two-way audio function, making it possible to hear and talk to anyone in front of the camera via the app.
The camera also includes a megapixel image sensor to deliver high-quality snapshots and video with high-definition resolutions up to 720p. With support for simultaneous H.264 and MJPEG video compression as well as being ONVIF compliant, it is easy to integrate into any video management system.
Audio in and out connectors can be connected to a microphone and speaker, allowing for two-way communication. In addition, the Privacy Mask feature can block an area in view from being recorded, eliminating privacy concerns. Video footage can be saved on a storage device attached to the network. Alternatively an SD card can be plugged in for use as local camera side storage, as well as the ability to continue recording in the event of a network outage.
An infrared cut removable (ICR) filter is also built-in, which blocks infrared light during the day for improved image quality. At night, it moves out of the way to use all available light for low-light surveillance, and paired with a powerful IR LED illuminator with an 8-metre range, this camera can monitor an area even in complete darkness. Network security is assured thanks to the newest protocols such as IPv6 and HTTPS, whether connected via a wireless or wired connection.
The DCS-7000L is available now for an RRP of £146.60 + VAT.
