SOSi expands field medical operations

SOSi expands field medical operationsSOS International LLC (SOSi) have announced the launch of a new medical support division to provide expeditionary medical services to the U.S. government and large private companies in the oil, gas and mining sectors.

SOSi’s expansion into the medical operations field builds off its current work in Iraq, where the company has been providing base operations and life-support services to the U.S. Military, its coalition military partners and several other large defence and aerospace contractors since 2013. SOSi currently operates multiple medical facilities in Iraq providing support to more than 1,500 personnel. As part of its expansion, SOSi is introducing a range of advanced telemedicine services, allowing its staff instant access to the highest level medical expertise at the nation’s leading medical centres.

“SOSi is accustomed to working in the world’s most challenging environments,” said Julian Setian, president and CEO of SOSi.

“We are committed to ensuring that our clients, partners and employees receive the best possible care, no matter where they work. We are introducing a number of innovations in telemedicine that improve the level of care typically provided in these environments, and formally expanding into this area gives us the opportunity to extend those innovations to other U.S. and coalition government missions and private sector clients around the world.”
