IP door entry by Comelit secures Barratt Homes development
IP door entry and video systems have been installed at a Barratt Homes development in northwest London.
One of Comelit’s Gold Partner installation companies, Lancroft Limited, installed Comelit’s ViP system in a high-end residential development, which comprises 286 apartments across
four blocks, where fourteen award-winning 3one6 Sense digital panels have also been fitted at the entrances.
The products use capacitive touch technology for door entry and with an IK08 rating, the units combine robust protection against vandalism with a sleek, high-quality design.
Residents at the Hendon Waterside apartments are able to communicate with visitors using Comelit’s Smart monitors, which feature full duplex hands-free loudspeakers and 3.5-inch LCD
displays. The sleekly designed and finished Smart monitors are flush-mounted to provide additional elegance, while contributing to the smart, contemporary interior décor.
The Smart system’s concierge feature enables the concierge to send messages to all, or groups of, residents.The IP technology, with the ViP system sitting on the network connect to the site’s 80-camera IP surveillance system. Being IP-based, the system has no distance limitations and is able to provide an unlimited number of users with simultaneous video and audio communications, while at the same time enabling remote connection and diagnostics.
The development will include a daytime concierge service, private fitness suite, rooftop garden and community hub service. Hendon Waterside is a flagship regeneration scheme and part of an exciting series of projects currently transforming the landscape in West Hendon and the surrounding area. Located next to the Welsh Harp reservoir, the development is in association with the Metropolitan Housing Trust and the London Borough of Barnet and will consist of more than 2,000 apartments when it is completed over the next eight years.
