Arriva and seven members of staff have been awarded Police Commendations at the London Bus CCTV Awards.
Arriva London was awarded the honour of Best Bus Company, while Paul Bonny, John Keating, Julie Sayer, Kim Roff, Daniel Allen, Mike Rumens and Sean Sumner were Commended for their ‘Outstanding Contribution Operating Under Extreme Circumstances During The London Riots 2011’.
Robert Sawyer was awarded ‘Best CCTV Analyst’. All Arriva buses operating in the UK are fitted with 21st Century CCTV systems and the Analysts utilise a remote monitoring solution provided by 21st Century.
The Awards were held by the Metropolitan Police and Transport For London at New Scotland Yard earlier this month. The Awards were presented by Commander Simon Foy QPM and Commander Adrian Hanstock from the Metropolitan Police and Leon Daniels, Managing Director of Transport For London.
