ASSA ABLOY at GSX

If you are attending GSX on its final day, be sure to pay a visit to ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions – Critical Infrastructure, provider of advanced locking and access management solutions, who are at GSX showcasing their new CI Series line of key cabinets at GSX 2023 in booth 2941.

In industries like power & energy, water, gas & oil, government agencies and industry groups are helping to support preparedness of the nation’s critical infrastructure. One example is The North American Energy Reliability Corporation (NERC), which has created a set of requirements designed to secure the assets required for operating North America’s bulk electric system, which would require utilities with critical assets to take steps to address physical security risks and vulnerabilities.

This is exactly where ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions is taking security and efficiency to a new level. Integrated solutions will help operators secure access and provide audit trails on locking hardware and keys within their security perimeters.

New CI Series Intelligent Key Cabinets

GSX attendees can discover the new line of key cabinets developed for the unique needs of critical infrastructure customers. Designed to be robust, reliable and affordable, CI Series cabinets can be customized to fit a range of facility applications – ranging from 32 to 288 keys per cabinet – and can easily be expanded to more than 2,000 total keys.

“We listen closely to our customers and understand there’s a growing need for a strong and reliable key access management product that’s simple to operate, not over-engineered, and will work every day at those critical times when you need it,” explains Jerry Burhans, Managing Director for ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions – Critical Infrastructure.

Available in both wall-mount and free-standing options, the cabinets feature 16-gauge steel construction to support heavy use. Other features include:

  • Touch screen controls
  • Web-Based Administration
  • Customized Reporting
  • Email SMS/Alerts
  • Digital photo capture of all access
  • Multiple Access Options (PIN, Biometric, Proximity Cards)
  • Enhanced security and theft deterrence with new ABLOY SO500 puck lock with ABLOY® PROTEC2 or electromechanical CLIQ™ cylinders

“NERC CIP and the focus on security preparedness is driving this trend,” continued Burhans, “so accountability is more important than ever. For thousands of customers who are already using our digital locking systems, this CI cabinet closes the loop. It gives you a complete audit trail, situational awareness of a customer’s keys, and locking hardware assets. It’s reliable, robust and ready.”
