UK – 7th May, 2014 – SANS Pen Test Berlin 2014, the largest dedicated Training Event for Pen Testers and Ethical Hackers in Europe will be held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Berlin from the 15th to the 21st of June.
All courses are led by SANS’ globally renowned, expert instructors.

The European Pen Test summit will be hosted by SANS Instructors James Lyne and Stephen Sims and will consist of talks, presentations and debates on recent and developing issues and challenges in Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking. SANS will also host a series of @Night talks and social functions throughout the training week.

SANS’ SEC573: Python for Penetration Testers is designed to help penetration testers customise existing open source code or develop their own tools. As course instructor Tim Medin explains, “This course is designed to meet students at their current skill level, appealing to a wide variety of backgrounds ranging from people without a drop of coding experience all the way up to skilled Python developers looking to increase their expertise and map their capabilities to penetration testing.”

SANS’ SEC760: Advanced Exploit Development for Penetration Testers will be running for the first time at Berlin. Led by Stephen Sims, this course looks into vulnerabilities in modern operating systems such as Microsoft Windows 7 & 8, Server 2012, and the latest Linux distributions. “More companies are hiring experts with the ability to aid in a Secure-SDLC process, perform threat modelling, determine if vulnerabilities are exploitable, and security research,” says Simms, “This course was written to help students land these highly sought after positions and to teach the cutting edge tricks to thoroughly evaluate a target, providing practitioners with the skills to improve their exploit development.”

“Pen Test Berlin allows penetration testers to network, learn from their peers and enhance their skills through SANS training in a fantastic learning and social setting,” explains Matt Anderson, Director, EMEA for SANS Institute,“ The one-day Summit will consist of cutting-edge talks and presentations and is sure to be entertaining with James Lyne and Stephen Sims at the helm.”
