SANS returns to Prague with a quartet of popular IT security training courses

23rd March 2016 – SANS Institute will be running a 6-day cyber security training event in Prague from the 9th to 14th of May featuring 4 popular courses including the recently updated SEC560: Network Penetration Testing and Ethical Hacking. The event will take place at the Angelo Hotel, Prague and includes training in a classroom like environment, under the supervision of a SANS Instructor.

As SANS most popular network penetration course, SEC560 provides a comprehensive coverage of tools, techniques, and methodologies for network penetration testing and prepares InfoSec professionals to conduct high-value penetration testing projects step-by-step and end-to-end.

The course will be led by Erik Van Buggenhout, SANS Instructor and head of technical security services at nViso, a Brussels-based IT security firm.

“During this 6-day course we will teach you all of the techniques you need to start delivering high-value penetration tests,” says Van Buggenhout, “We will touch upon detailed reconnaissance and advanced scanning of target networks. After identifying targets, we’ll look at a broad number of exploitation techniques that can help you measure business risk by demonstrating the vulnerability at hand. We will also do a deep-dive into post-exploitation techniques, password attacks and web applications as you pivot through the target network modelling techniques of real attackers.”

The event will also host SEC401: Security Essentials Bootcamp Style led by Tim Garcia, SEC503: Intrusion Detection In-Depth led by David Hoelzer and SEC511: Continuous Monitoring and Security Operations led by Bryan Simon. SANS is offering an early bird discount for attendees that register before March 23rd and more information on the event can be found at www.sans.org/prague-2016
