February 2011 – Midlands based Bconnected, innovators in wireless tracking and monitoring technology, have been awarded the contract to supply Brooknight with its Itrac monitoring system. Brooknight, a leading UK security company, is using Bconnected’s Itrac wireless tracking system to monitor all its manned guarding operations. The system uses biometric identification via wall-mounted fingerprint readers to monitor guard time and attendance relaying data in real time via GPRS mobile cellular networks.

Itrac is particularly beneficial where security personnel are working alone, or where there are larger teams on complex assignments with regular patrols to make. Itrac delivers instant alert notifications if a patrol is missed, or if a team member is unexpectedly absent. Full audit reports are provided in a clear format via web access 24/7 allowing investigation and follow up afterwards. Security officers are identified biometrically using fingerprint scanners, authenticating a unique identity of the individual, the location and time stamp. Each time a security officer logs on data is uploaded via GPRS and processed instantly at the Itrac data centre. Alerts and warnings messages can be sent if pre-defined activity does not take place and data can be viewed in real time on a secure customer portal.
Itrac is extremely flexible, reports can be tailored and formatted to meet each client’s specific needs and can be accessed on any internet-enabled device, PC or laptop, or as a printed, faxed or emailed report. The reports show, at any point, exactly how the security team is performing.
