Canon Establishes Working Partnership with Wavestore

canon wavestoreCanon Europe, world leader in imaging solutions, has announced that it has agreed a working partnership with Wavestore, a distinguished security solutions provider, to deliver an intelligent and fully integrated security offering with superior image quality and advanced analytics capabilities.

The partnership will deliver advanced surveillance systems by combining Canon’s portfolio of high-quality network security cameras with Wavestore’s industry leading video management software (VMS). Both companies are working closely together to ensure that the analytics are faultless and fully integrated, to provide system integrators with amplified surveillance capabilities. The pan-European partnership will allow both companies to create personalised offerings based on the requirements of the customer.

“We chose to work with Canon as it’s a brand that is known for its dedication to image quality, and that’s a factor that really resonates with professionals in the network security camera sector,” says Justin Wheatley, Director of Engineering, Wavestore. “Canon’s portfolio will benefit our system integrators and customers by offering a suite of powerful and easy-to-use security solutions. Canon collaborates closely with its VMS partners on an ongoing basis, listening to what partners want and making modifications where necessary. We’re excited to partner with Canon to create a joint offering that lives up to Canon’s reputation for imaging excellence.”

Julian Rutland, Planning and Strategy Director, Canon Europe, says, “We are committed to enhancing our security offering in the network camera market by working closely with expert partners like Wavestore. We believe the added-value that we can offer as a result of this partnership will set us apart from the competition. It ensures that our products are well-connected and that our in-built analytics capabilities are fully supported. We’re looking forward to exploring how we can work together closely across Europe.”

Wavestore and Canon will be at IFSEC this year demonstrating the combined capabilities of their offering. Located at Canon’s stand (Hall S7, Stand S85), Wavestore will focus on demonstrating the capabilities of Canon network cameras when connected to the Wavestore facial recognition system. Canon’s excellent image quality allows for advanced facial detection and Wavestore representatives will be available to demonstrate how users can be alerted when pre-determined faces are detected.

Canon uses its 70 years’ experience as a high quality lens manufacturer to develop network cameras which deliver exceptional image quality and capture best in class images in all light conditions. Canon’s network cameras are simple to install and are supported by an extensive warranty programme.
