Chubb acquires security solution specialists Digi Security

Chubb Fire & Security Limited has acquired Digi Security Limited, a specialist provider of security solutions across the UK and Europe, with a focus on IP digital technology, remote monitoring and technical guarding solutions. Chubb, a leading provider of security, fire safety solutions, and monitoring and response services for businesses and industries across the UK and Europe, is a part of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

“This strategic acquisition enhances our security offering and is beneficial to Chubb, Digi and our customers,” said Alastair Reynolds, Managing Director, Chubb Fire & Security.

The terms of the transaction will not be disclosed.

Founded by the inventor of the first patent detector lock in 1818, Chubb is a leading provider of security and fire-safety solutions for businesses and industry nationwide. Chubb is a part of UTC Building & Industrial Systems, a unit of United Technologies Corp., a leading provider to the aerospace and building systems industries worldwide. Each year Chubb Fire & Security services more than 3 million fire extinguishers and performs 600,000 alarm systems site inspections.

Digi Security provides the solutions needed to protect buildings and businesses; from the smallest shop to the largest retail centre. Digi Security protect hotels, schools, stadiums, service stations, racecourses and many, many more. Their staff attend regular training courses and with members of our staff from police technical backgrounds and police fraud squads, Digi can provide the perfect solution.
