COP Security promotes HDCVI High Definition surveillance

Professional trade only CCTV security products distributor, COP Security, has taken up the gauntlet to assist the UK surveillance industry to embrace the many advantages offered by deploying High Definition (HD) surveillance – via the new Dahua High Definition Composite Video Interface (HDCVI).

Offering an extremely simple way to instantly upgrade existing standard definition installations to HD, using existing coax or CAT5 cable, upgrading an analogue DVR to a HDCVI DVR allows a mix of analogue, IP 720p and HD 1080p cameras within the same system. Any standard IP cameras can be included in the camera network, as HDCVI DVRs are compatible with any ONVIF compliant IP camera.

With HDCVI cutting-edge technology, customers can add to, or replace analogue cameras with HD-quality HDCVI versions when their budget or expansion plans allow. Using this piecemeal approach, end-users can instantly upgrade or expand their CCTV systems as and when they require, advancing to stunning HD quality imagery as they progress, and in a time frame to suit them.

HDCVI-based installations are compatible in cost, and often less expensive than analogue equivalents, thanks to the realistic pricing of Dahua HDCVI technology. Also, HDCVI products require no special skills to install, so upgrading to HD video has never been simpler, easier or more cost-effective.

“At COP Security, we are focused on future technology and providing the most economical solutions for our customers, without the need to implement expensive infrastructure changes,” says Gareth Rhodes, Sales and Marketing Manager for COP Security. “With Dahua HDCVI technology, we are proactively supporting the UK surveillance industry to make the switch from standard, to high-performance High Definition systems – in the simplest and most cost-effective method available.”
