Electronic security and fire products manufacturer Elmdene International Limited – a subsidiary of Potter Electric Signal – have announced the appointment of Jade Newman as its Marketing Executive.
Although a relative newcomer to the security and fire sectors, Jade brings with her a well-rounded knowledge of marketing gained through a series of roles in the data industry and health sectors. In particular, she has a keen understanding of the latest digital and social media techniques, alongside strong event management experience, which can now be applied to her new position at Elmdene.
In her capacity as Marketing Executive, Jade will be responsible for raising awareness of Elmdene as a brand, and its product portfolio from highly efficient switch mode Power Supply Units (PSU) to internal and external sounders, in major markets world-wide such as the UK, Europe and the Middle East. Ongoing tasks for Jade will include: designing marketing material, identifying social media opportunities and organising Elmdene’s attendance at major exhibitions and events. In addition, she will assist members of the company’s sales team as they seek to target new markets.
Commenting on her appointment, Jade Newman said: “I am looking forward to the challenges provided by this position. I was first attracted to Elmdene by the impressive facilities at its Portsmouth head office and the strong sense of teamwork and determination to provide the best possible products, and service levels, to customers. Undoubtedly, this role represents a step-up for me in terms of my marketing career and a good opportunity to implement the very latest marketing ideas for this fast growing business.”
Said Ian Moore, Managing Director, Elmdene International Limited: “We are delighted to have Jade join us at this critical time as we look to expand our security and fire product ranges, with innovations like Power over Ethernet (PoE) standby PSU devices, and build-up to our celebration of Elmdene’s 50th anniversary later this year. Moving forward, an enhanced marketing function is going to be a vital element in helping us to communicate effectively with existing and potential customers as we strive to achieve our ambitious growth targets during 2013.”
