ESET UK at IP Expo 2015: Review

ESET UK at IP Expo 2015: Review

“IP Expo Europe went brilliantly for us. We achieved a record number of badge scans, developed some very interesting leads and completed well over our targeted number of business surveys. It’s also the largest team we’ve taken to IP Expo.

IP Expo London 2015 marked the first event after our acquisition of long-time technology alliance partner DESlock. It’s always a pleasure to have them on the stand with us but this time it was particularly special. Encryption is a crucial, often essential, part of modern data security so it’s a fantastic time for ESET and DESlock to be working closer together than ever before.

Our IT security specialist Mark James hosted a very successful talk about the most fundamental aspects of business security. The talk was entitled “Business Security Building Blocks” and took place in the Data Centric Security & IDAM Theatre on Wednesday. It was an intimate talk in which Mark fielded some very interesting questions. This year’s seminar marked Mark’s 4th time speaking at an IP Expo event and he’s looking forward to doing so again in future.

The opportunity to have face-to-face conversations with existing customers and partners as well as potential customers and partners is always good. Strengthening existing business relationships as well as forging new ones is consistently a highlight. Our new marketing manager Sharon Finney took full advantage of this opportunity. In between various appointments and seminars she was roaming the hall taking in everything IP Expo has to offer.

Our post-event debrief spawned some new and interesting ideas which we hope to make use of in the future. Overall our staff really enjoyed the event and are keenly looking forward to IP Expo next year.
