The future is looking bright for Oprema, with the company having achieved 100% growth for the third year running. This rapid development has led to an intensive recruitment push, resulting in appointments in the Sales and Marketing departments and a new Warehouse Manager. To accommodate the influx of new personnel the office has undergone a complete refurbishment, creating a new open-plan working environment.
Martin Rees comes in to fulfil the role of Senior Business Development Manager, having previously worked in a similar position for ADT Fire and Security. Having worked for ADT for seven years, Martin brings a wealth of experience and knowledge of the industry with him. He commented, “I see Oprema as an exciting challenge. I want to use my experience, not only to increase sales, but to streamline the sales department making sure we maximise on all opportunities”. Rees will oversee the sales team, identify new business opportunities and help to shape Oprema’s future growth plans with the management team.
The next appointment is twenty two year old Francis Henderson, who comes to Oprema on behalf of the Jobs Growth Wales scheme run by Go Wales. Graduating with a 1st class degree in Business Management from the University of South Wales, he enters Oprema in an Internal Sales position, where his primary responsibility is to support the sales team. Francis commented, ‘It’s an exciting time to join the company, as it continues to achieve impressive levels of growth.’
Another product of the Go Wales placement scheme is twenty one year old Aled Andrews, who graduated from Cardiff University with a degree in English literature. Aled joins as a Sales and Marketing Assistant and will be responsible for maintaining Oprema’s website and outgoing marketing communications. “I’ve been keen on pursuing a career in marketing and Oprema is a growing company with big plans for the future. It’s a really exciting opportunity.”
James Axiak is Oprema’s new Warehouse Manager, leaving a Stores Manager role at City Electrical Factors. His new position involves ordering, maintaining and assembling stock, organising deliveries and acting as the front-of-house contact at the trade counter.
Three of the four roles are new positions for the security supplies company, indicating the businesses intentions for the next twelve months; to continue strengthening departments with increased recruitment, in order to meet the next phase of planned growth.
