Jacksons: Twickenham prepare for the Rugby World Cup

Jacksons: Twickenham prepare for the Rugby World Cup

As England hosts the eighth Rugby World Cup (from 18th September to 31 October), Twickenham Stadium – the home of the RFU and English rugby and the venue for the opening match and the final – has been working with Jacksons Fencing to enhance the security around its corporate village and boundary.

Twickenham has invested in a robust 2m high Securi Mesh perimeter fence and matching gates for parts of the boundary and for the corporate village located within the grounds during the World Cup event. The Securi-Mesh ‘358’ welded mesh system features vandal and tamper proof post fixings and offers good resistance to cutting along with excellent anti-climb properties. It provides the ideal, cost-effective solution to meet the client’s brief for the project and demonstrates the RFU’s commitment to ensuring the security and safety of visitors to the stadium during the world cup fixtures.

Commenting on the project, Jacksons CEO Peter Jackson says,

“We are delighted to have been involved in such a high profile project and to have played a part in supporting the RFU’s security strategy for the iconic Twickenham Stadium, the largest venue in the world devoted to the sport of rugby union.”

It’s what they have been doing at Jacksons since 1947, initially in timber fencing to serve the farming community and public and from the mid 1980’s, steel fencing and gates for a diverse range of applications, from government departments to commerce and industry.

And while the world may have changed significantly in those 65 years, Jacksons have remained faithful to the founding principles; to design and manufacture the best possible products, backed by the best possible service and to put their staff and customers first in everything they do.

Quality and confidence in their people, products and processes that has allowed them to guarantee their timber products against rot and insect attack for 25 years, to offer a 25 year service life guarantee on their steel fencing and gates and to provide a 25 month parts and labour guarantee on automated access products and solutions.
