Data loss: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Macrium Software, developers of Macrium Reflect and experts in disk imaging and recovery solutions, recently asked their Macrium Valued Reseller partners for their views on the backup industry, challenges and changes. As their partners are trusted advisers, with a lot of experience in the industry, the aim was to find out how their resellers worked with their clients and to get to the root of the challenges they face.

The backup space from a reseller perspective
Over 120 resellers responded to the survey – from 22 different countries around the globe. In the survey, Macrium asked their resellers a variety of questions on the type of offerings they put to customers, data loss stories, how they would like to sell the licenses, what the impacts on their customers have been through data loss, and what did they think Macrium should do next.

About Macrium
Macrium Software was founded in 2006 when CEO and Founder Nick Sills experienced a personal data disaster and in the process discovered existing backup tools were not as good as he expected. Wanting a software solution that was practical and easy to use, Nick and his team developed Macrium Reflect to create a safe and secure disk image with ultra-fast recovery times should disaster strike.

Since then Macrium has gone from strength to strength. With well over 3 million downloads worldwide their customers tell them they’re the fastest and easiest to use disk imaging and recovery solution on the market. Their customer testimonial page details how all their different global customers use Macrium Reflect and how vital it has been for their business and personal use.

Based in Manchester, United Kingdom, Macrium have a highly experienced development and support team who are on hand 24/7 for premium support questions.
