Michelle Bailey, Active Response, shortlisted for two Business Awards
Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber of Commerce has released the shortlist for this year’s Business Awards, shortlisting Michelle Bailey, Managing Director of Active Response Security Services, for ‘The Academy for Chief Executives Business Person of the Year Award’ and Active Response for ‘The Airmaster Air Conditioning and Mitsubishi Digital and Creative Award’.
Michelle Bailey is making a habit of reaching Awards Finals. She recently reached the Final of the Women in Security Awards and has been shortlisted for Business Person of the Year and a Digital and Media Award for the #BeeSafe Initiative to Safeguard Children, which included a successful 3D Character Video to warn of the dangers of building sites.
Michelle told us:
“I see this as reflecting the quality of what we do as a Company. It’s a team effort that enables us to gain such respect. We have worked hard in 2016 and will continue in our efforts to set high standards and meet our customers’ needs in 2017”.
Michelle has worked tirelessly to change the perceptions of the security industry by improving the calibre of staff for Active Response clients and removing barriers placed in front of new candidates looking to nominate the security industry as a valid career path. She has focused on the long term unemployed, bringing together third party agencies to adopt a partnership approach and open up opportunities by running the Active Response pre-screening programme where successful candidates will receive a funded SIA License. Active Response has a high rate of females working with them in a male dominated environment and their ethics towards safer recruitment has increased their tender success rate tenfold resulting in their turnover doubling in the last twelve months.
