The Swedish Transport Agency has given the contract to produce secure driver licenses and digital tachograph cards to Morpho (Safran).
Sweden began issuing the new driver licenses in January and is set to start issuing the digital tachograph cards later this year.
Sweden’s redesigned driver licenses and digital tachograph cards will integrate Morpho’s latest state-of-the-art security features to comply with new European Union standards and provide enhanced protection against document fraud.

Morpho has also equipped Sweden with a criminal identification system, which is being upgraded with Morpho’s latest biometric recognition technology.
